Okay Sure Whatever

For someone who spent their whole childhood being shy and reserved, some of the best comments I received from people was that I am very confident. I am not one for self-reflection, but I really do think I have grown to trust and become sure of myself. It’s not because of the way I look or the clothes I wear or the company I keep. I think it’s because every decision I made up to this point, everything I did for myself has led me to where I am now.

I have a long way to go; I’m still a teenager after all. To be young is to change. I’ll have new and temporary things in this period of my life, but I’ll have myself for the rest of it. So I’m confident: I know who am, I know what I want, I trust myself, and I get what I want.
